The formation of the Nature Linux User Group was triggered by a question posed by a local business owner who runs M$ operating systems. I installed openSuSE 11.0 as a dual boot with their existing XP installation allowing Linux to identify the hardware missing from the XP configuration. As it took several hours to load, could be useful in future and there was plenty of HD available, I left it installed having repaired the XP side of the system. I suggested the client have a look at it, as they might find it a cheaper option than to upgrade to Vista when XP support is reduced.
The question in question was "If I switch to Linux, who would support it if you are not available?"
